Founded by Sophie Nordenhed, this initiative has grown into one of Amsterdam's largest running clubs, with new members joining weekly.
The Sunday Run Club hosts three runs per week: a Tuesday evening 19:00 interval training, a Sunday morning 10:00 social run in Vondelpark, and a Saturday morning 10:00 beginners' run in Vondelpark, exclusively for women.
To be clear:
SUNDAY 10 AM: Social Run in Vondelpark (pace groups between 5-7’)
TUESDAY 7 PM: Speed work in Vondelpark (suitable for all levels)
SATURDAY 10 AM: Beginners run in Vondelpark (7-8’ run-walks)
Each run is led by a captain (running coach) who guides the group, answers questions, and provides support throughout the session.
Here's a breakdown of what to expect:
