What is strength & conditioning?
The core purpose for strength & conditioning is to increase both the power as the endurance of the athlete. Strength & conditioning is (like you can hear it in the name) a combination of two separate disciplines.
Strength training involves the performance of physical exercises that are designed to improve power and build muscle. It is often associated with lifting weights, resistance training but it can also incorporate multiple other disciplines like calisthenics or plyometrics and more bodyweight exercises. An important aspect of strength training is to focus on proper form (definitely during weight training exercises) and also to do it multiple times a week. The conditioning focuses on the prolonged ability to produce the strength created by strength training.
