>What is Hiit?
Hiit, also called high intensity interval training, is an exercise protocol developed for increasing the conditioning of athletes.
It consists of a short explosive burst in a specific exercise followed by a rest period. The goal is to get your heart rate as high as possible in these bursts while trying to fully recover in the periods of low activity. This kind of training is said to maximize the V02 max and that is one of the reasons many elite athletes incorporate it in their training regimen. Nowadays many common people use HIIT because it is a good way to stay consistently fit in a short amount of exercise time.
